Custom Home Building

How long does it take to build a new home?

The timeline for building a new home depends on a variety of factors—like the size and complexity of the design, the condition of the land, and how quickly permits are approved. Weather, material availability, and scheduling can also impact the process. While every project is different, most new home builds are completed within 6 to 12 months. We’ll provide a realistic timeline once we understand the full scope of your project and keep you updated along the way.

Can you help with designing my custom home, or do I need to provide plans?

Can you help with designing my custom home, or do I need to provide plans?

Will I be able to make changes in the construction process?

Absolutely. We understand that ideas evolve, and we’ll do our best to accommodate changes along the way

Do you help with permits and inspections?

Yes. We handle all the necessary permits and coordinate required inspections throughout the build.

What’s included in a new home build?

A new home build typically includes everything from site preparation and the foundation to framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, insulation, drywall, and finishing touches like flooring and fixtures. We work closely with you to understand your goals and make sure everything is accounted for in your estimate — no surprises.

What kind of land is best for a new build?

Land that’s already cleared and has access to utilities (water, sewer, electric) can save time and cost. We can assess your lot or one you’re considering and help identify any potential challenges, like grading or drainage, before you commit.

Do you work with specific architects, or can I bring my own?

You can bring your own architect, or we can recommend one. We’ll work with whatever setup works best for you.

Home Renovation & Remodeling

How long does a typical home renovation take?

The timeline depends on the size and scope of the project, but most home renovations take anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Smaller updates, like bathroom or kitchen remodels, can often be completed in 4–8 weeks, while larger renovations may take longer. We’ll provide a detailed timeline once we understand your goals.

Do I need to move out during a major remodel?

Not usually. We do our best to minimize disruption so you can stay in your home during the renovation. In some cases, like full kitchen overhauls or major structural work, it might make sense to temporarily relocate — we’ll walk you through what to expect before we begin.

Can you renovate historic homes or older properties?

Yes, we can. In fact, we’re currently working on a historic renovation in Granville. These projects often require special permits and approvals, and we’ll handle all of that for you. We understand the extra care older homes need and take pride in preserving their charm while bringing them up to today’s standards.

Additions & Expansions

What types of home additions do you offer?

We build all types of home additions, including extra bedrooms, expanded kitchens, new bathrooms, and even full second stories. Whether you need more space for family or function, we’ll help design and build an addition that blends seamlessly with your existing home.

How do I know if a home addition is possible on my property?

The best way to find out is to schedule a consultation. We’ll come out to evaluate your home, talk through your goals, and let you know what’s feasible — including budget, timeline, and any permitting needs.

Can you construct detached buildings like guest houses or workshops?

Yes, we can. We build detached structures such as guest houses, workshops, garages, and sheds. Whether it’s extra living space or a place to pursue your hobbies, we’ll make sure it’s built right and up to code.

How long does it take to build a home addition?

Most additions take between 1 to 4 months to complete, depending on the size and complexity. Every project is custom, so we’ll give you a realistic timeline once we assess your space and needs.

Do I need a permit for a home addition?

Yes — most home additions, especially anything connected to the main structure, require a permit. We take care of the permitting process for you and ensure everything meets local building codes.

Do you handle concrete work, such as driveways or foundations?

Yes. We provide professional concrete services for driveways, foundations, patios, and more. Whether it’s part of a larger project or a standalone job, we’ve got you covered.
